Beginnings

Back to the Bible: Genesis 1:1-2 reads, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." So many people have wondered where and when everything got started. This writer heads right to the Bible for answers! God began by creating! Darkness, not confusion, prevailed, and then "God said, Let there be light: and there was light." God spoke things into existence! Genesis is clearly a book of beginnings or origins. Up to this point there in no hint of evolution.
Let's read Hebrews 1:10, "And: You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands." A sure foundation for all of us is to rest and have complete faith or belief in God, while underlining Genesis as another sure foundation. "Genesis is not an attempt to answer technical science questions. Genesis deals with matters far beyond the realm of science (KJV Open Bible)." So many have attacked the the sure foundations of God, beginnings, creation, and The First Book of Genesis written by Moses. Let's have faith in God, accept His word at face value, and live a life under God's sovereign care! When we have important questions turn to God and His Bible! Jim Kultau, Writer
